Rishi Kapoor who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, 102 Not Out with Amitabh Bachchan spoke about his relationship with his son.
According to Filmfare, Rishi was spotted at an event where he was asked about his relationship with Ranbir Kapoor – a topic that has been brought up on multiple occasions.
The 65-year-old actor revealed, “There was a time when Ranbir and I didn’t get along because I was really busy. There was an invisible glass pane between us – like my relationship with my father, late Raj Kapoor. But I’m a loving father now.”
Rishi added that he now wants his son to get married so that he can be a grandfather and make up for lost time. The proud father also spoke of the many avatars Ranbir will be playing in Sanju.
He said, “The reactions to his new film have been phenomenal. All the calls and messages I’ve been getting since morning are about him.” Rishi also stated that Ranbir always told his mom that he wanted to be an actor with a caliber.
The 35-year-old’s father explained, “Ranbir wanted a different career graph so he did films like Wake Up Sid and Rocket Singh. Some films failed but no actor has a 100% track record – as the saying goes, ‘Form is temporary, class is permanent’.”
